Sogol joined the firm as an associate in June 2019. In January 2023, Sogol joined the partnership. Sogol represents employees, employers and unions in the areas of labour and employment and human rights law. She has represented clients before various courts and tribunals, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. Prior to joining the firm, Sogol practiced in the areas of labour and employment, immigration and civil litigation.
Sogol obtained her law degree from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom where she was the sole recipient of an entrance scholarship. While in law school, she served as a content editor for the school’s online law review and participated in the DMH Stallard LLP Negotiation Competitions. Prior to law school, Sogol obtained her Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University.
In addition to her law practice, Sogol volunteers as Duty Counsel with Ontario’s Pro Bono Law Help Ontario at the Ottawa Courthouse in the amicus and advisory programs. She is a Carleton University alumni mentor and a member of a business network of female professionals and entrepreneurs.
Sogol has a Nidan in Karate, a Shodan in Tae Kwon Do and is a member of the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. While not in the office or in court, you can find Sogol running or skiing in Gatineau Park, training for a race, planning her next trip or trying out new local restaurants.
